Dr. Cathey has written an excellent book that reveals what life was like for the early Catheys in Scotland, Ireland and in Colonial America. He delves into the history that made them who they were and caused their various migrations.
This book is more history than genealogy but makes an excellent addition to the Cathey family story. There is plenty of genealogy in here as well as political, religious and socio-economic history of the times and places where our ancestors lived.
