Thanks for visiting my web pages,
I appreciate your interest. If you want to write me please do so, I love
to hear from distant cousins and fellow researchers. However, be advised
that I get so much mail that it takes me a very long time to answer it
all, and by a "long time" I mean weeks, sometimes months. (Sometimes I
respond much more quickly, depending on circumstances.) Please don't get
angry or indignant with me if I don't respond quickly enough, after all
I'm only human, and this is just a hobby, not a business.
I received a ton of mail between
2000 and 2004, but due to my health problems I was unable to answer most of it. I still have over 7,000 messages from that period that I never
answered. Those messages are still in my inboxes, and I do look at them
occasionally, but it seems very likely that I'll never get to most of
them. If you wrote during that period and are still waiting for a
response, please write again.
Now, here are some basic guidelines you should use when writing me as it will help us both:
-
Who, When and Where
- Be as specific as possible in your query. Names,
dates and places are very helpful. The more you tell me upfront, the
more likely I will be able to help you.
Who are you? -
Please sign your message for I like to know who I'm corresponding with
by name (at least your first name.) I save all my mail, incoming
and outgoing, and it helps to have a name to file it under instead of
just an email address.
Confidentiality: Unless you
specifically request otherwise, I'll assume anything you write to me is
okay to be shared with other interested researchers.
