I am very interested in him though. James Barnes was born ca 1775/1794, whereabouts unknown, possibly in SC. John Barnes was not listed on the 1811 nor the 1814 tax list in Marion Dist, SC. John was listed on the 1820 census. I didn't find any record for John Barnes after 1820, so he probably died around then, or else moved away.
