My Blackman LineageHome > Genealogy > Surnames > Blackman > Lineage Lucinda Blackman was born ca 1795 and married Alexander Lane (1787-1858) circa 1812 in Marion District, SC. Her maiden name is not proven but was listed as "Blackman" in an early county history. No hard evidence has been found to confirm this. I don't know who Lucinda's parents were but there were several older male Blackman's in the area who could be her father, though none really stand out above the rest.
