Welcome to my Davis web pages! I am interested in the Davis families of "old" Burke County, North Carolina. My ancestry:

William Davis (173?-1841) and Frances Carpenter of Burke and Yancey Co., NC

- Jacob Davis (1801-1873) and Susanna Miller of Burke and Graham Co., NC

-- Margaret Ann Davis (1835-1927) and William Carpenter of Graham Co., NC

I am also interested in other Davis in the region whether related to me or not (1700s through ca 1860). Since this is a very common name, my interest is limited to just a few counties. Check them out on my Documented Family Pages.

William Davis (1730-1841) Military History - William M. Davis has written an excellent history of William Davis' military service (French and Indian War and Revolutionary War). Highly recommended.
