John Patton Grant (1845-1917) and Darthula Jane Evans (1843-1917)
John was born in Macon Co, NC and Darthula was born in Buncombe Co, NC. They married in 1868 in Jackson Co, NC. They lived most of their married lives in Swain Co, NC, but circa 1905 they moved to Union Co, GA. They are buried at the Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Gum Log Township of Union Co, GA, near Blairsville.
This picture of them was probably taken in Union Co, GA ca 1905-1910. Thanks to my Great Aunt Bobbie Grant Sawyer for this photo.
John and Darthula are both buried at Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery in Union Co, GA. I took these photos in 1989.
