James Hensley (1810/20) of McNairy Co, TN[Commentary] [Children] [Researcher List] [Register Report] [A Note about sources] [How to contact me] [Home] I (Marty Grant) am not related to James Hensley as far as I know. James Hensley was born ca 1810/20 (per 1840 census), possibly in Tennessee. I know very little about James, other than he was listed on the 1840 census in McNairy County, Tennessee. James would have probably been home with his parents for the 1820 census, but assuming he was in Tennessee then, those records are lost. He was probably home in 1830 also, but since I don't know where to look, I can't find him. James married someone, before 1840, possibly in McNairy County, Tennessee. His family has a rough fit with that of widow Sarah Bishop Hensley (c1818) of Warren Co, TN, but that is just speculation.
