Chrisley and Catherine Hensley family of Tazewell Co, VA and
KY and WV
A note about sources
This page is need of a major update. I've received info from
Linda Weldon regarding this family, and
I'll incorporate it into this page as soon as I'm able.
Catherine married William Davis as a 2nd husband before 1805 in Tazewell Co,
VA. She is very likely the mother of Daniel, William, Robert and Stephen
Hensley, all of whom where in Tazewell, moved briefly to Floyd Co, KY before
1810, and then moved into Cabell Co, VA (WV). There are probably other children
as well.
At the time in question here (c1800-1824) it should be noted that Tazewell
Co, VA, Cabell (later Logan) Co, VA and Floyd Co, KY were all adjacent to one
another. These Hensley's didn't really move that far, and in some cases didn't
move at all, the county lines changed around them.
William Davis was a Revolutionary War Pensioner.
