Letticia Hilton Hensley of Scott Co, VALetticia Hilton was married to an unknown Hensley before 1826, in Hawkins Co, TN or Scott Co, VA. By 1850 she was widowed and living in Scott Co, VA. She was listed in 1850 with her son Henry Hensley. In 1860 she was still in Scott Co, VA, but with no children with her. A Malinda Hensley age 75 was with her, that may actuall have been her mother, and if so, the name should be Hilton instead of Hensley. In 1870 Letticia was living in Scott Co, Va with America A. Watkins age 43 (born TN). Several of Letticia's grandchildren were with her at that time. The death record of her son Addison Hensley in 1860 lists his mother as "Lititia (Hilton) Hensley", and her own death record in 1871 shows Hilton as her maiden name. I don't know where this family was in 1840 census, there were no Hensleys listed in Scott Co, VA who aren't already well accounted for. They may have resided with a family of another name.
