Martin Hensley family of Grayson Co, VA and Keokuk Co, IAMartin Hensley married in Ashe Co, NC in 1840. I didn't find him on the 1840 census, but by 1850 he was just across the state line in Grayson Co, VA. By 1860 he had moved to Keokuk Co, IA and also had a new wife. The 1850 census reports his birth place as VA, but 1860 reports it as NC, so I'm not sure where he originated. There was a widow Mary Hensley listed in 1850 Grayson Co, VA, who could be his mother.
