William Hensley (c1824) of Scott Co, VAWilliam Hensley was born in Scott Co, VA (or Washington Co, VA) ca 1824. He was listed on the 1850 and 1860 Scott Co, VA census. In 1860, one of his children, then age 4 was born in Indiana, indicating the family might have moved to Indiana in the 1850's but returned. In 1850, he wasn't listed in close proximity to any of the other Scott Co, VA Hensleys, but in 1860 he was on the same page with Polly, the widow of John Hensley (1798) of Washington Co, VA. It is entirely possible that John (1798) is the father of this William. I didn't find William (1824) or any of his children listed in the 1870 census of VA, so he may have moved back to Indiana, or somewhere else. Persons researching this family:
