Samuel Hensley of Cabell, Wayne Co, VA (WV) and Boyd Co, KYSamuel Hensley was born in Albemarle Co, VA ca 1790 and was found in Cabell Co, VA (WV) by 1820. He was listed in Cabell for 1820, 1830 and 1840 census. Wayne County was formed in 1842 from Cabell, and he was found in Wayne Co, VA (WV) in 1850. By 1860 he had moved to Boyd Co, KY where he remained. He married a 2nd time in 1861 and on his marriage license he listed his birth place as Albemarle Co, VA. I don't know how he connects to the Hensley's in Albemarle, but he is from there. He may be a son of the William Hensley Sr family, which I have yet to document. Samuel's wife was named Catherine, but I'm fairly sure she isn't Catherine McDavid who married another Samuel Hensley in 1815 Scott Co, VA. Persons researching this family:
