Sagan, Carl
-
Contact, 1985.
I enjoyed the movie, and I have had the book
for nearly 10 years without reading it. The other day I was bored and decided I
would read it. I was somewhat worried about Carl's obvious anti-Christian
biases, and although it was certainly present and very heavy, I still found the
book enjoyable. It was a large book and took me about two weeks to complete,
reading just a chapter a night. After reading it, I found that I liked the movie
better, though there were a few interesting things in the book that did not make
it into the movie.
