Weinbaum, Stanley
-
A Martian Odyssey, 1934.
This was one of the best books I've ever read from this era, very
entertaining.
Wells, H. G.
- The First Men in the Moon
, 1901. I expected this book to be silly (for some reason),
but I found it to be quite good.
-
The
Time Machine, 1895 I've had several of his books on my shelf
since I was a child, but for some reason I never read them! I recently was
bored, and had nothing new to read, so I went rummaging through my books and
found this book. "The Time Machine" was small, and I had heard they were making
a new movie based on it, so I decided to read it. I read it in two nights and
though it was quite good, if not too short.
-
War
of the Worlds, 1898. A few days after finishing "The Time
Machine", I started on "War of the Worlds" and read a few chapters each night,
finishing it in about a week. It was pretty good, though I had trouble
understanding a few of the words (mostly job titles that probably don't exist
any more!).
