Welcome
to my North Carolina Information pages! I hope you find something of
interest here. My primary goal is to provide a little bit of centralized
information that should be of interest to those doing genealogical research
in this state. There are many other pages on the internet that attempt to do
the same, and many of them are really good pages. North Carolina has been my home for most of my life. I wasn't born here, but have lived here since I was 3 years old. North Carolina currently has 100 counties, and I think that I have been to all of them at least once. I have family connections to nearly every county in the state. There are several counties (in addition to the current 100) that no longer exist, either having been dissolved, or renamed or otherwise altered over the years. There are numerous North Carolina Genealogy Resources on the Internet. Several helpful links are included on the links page. I have several pages of my own that should be useful, including a table of all North Carolina counties (including those no longer extant), showing when they were formed, and so forth. Many of these Counties have pages of their own with additional information and links. All pages have, where applicable, links to published books that can be purchased online.
