Formation and Divisions

Granville County was created in 1746 from Edgecombe County.

Orange County was formed from part of Granville in 1752.

Bute County was formed from part of Granville in 1764.

Vance County was formed from part of Granville in 1881.


Status of Records

Granville County has suffered no major record losses, as far as I know.

I've been to Granville County only once, while still in High School. It was for a Cross Country meet in Oxford. I've never been since then.
