Welcome to my Stewart web pages! I am interested in most of the Stewart families in NC, GA and TN to some extent, but my primary interest is in my own lines (I have several connections back to the same common ancestor):

John Stewart (c1730-1830) and wife Mary Ann --- of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Buncombe and Macon Co., NC.

- (1) Emelia Stewart (1770/75-184?) and husband Michael Waters of (same as parents).

- (2) Noah Stewart (c1786-1881) and wife Nancy --- of NC and GA.

-- (1) John Stewart (c1807-aft 1870) and wife Ruth Tutt of NC, GA and TN.

--- Margaret E. Stewart (1835-1909) and Thomas M. Henderson of Union Co., GA.

-- (2) Mary Stewart (c1820-186?) and husband Joshua Gilbert of NC and GA.
