My interest in this family name is limited to Onslow, Bladen,
Brunswick and Columbus Co., NC and Horry and Marion
Co., SC and nearby counties. If you are interested in this surname in other
geographic areas then I probably have no data to share at present, unless they
originated in my area.

My area of interest in Eastern NC and SC. The X's mark where my
own Watson ancestors lived.

| South Carolina My
Watsons moved to Marion County in the early 1900's and aren't related
to the other Watsons who were already there, however I'm
also interested in those other Watsons because of the common surname
and because many of them intermarried into my other lines from the
region. Dillon County [formed 1910 from Marion]
Georgetown County [formed 1769 as an original district
(formerly part of Craven County)]
Horry County [formed 1801 from Georgetown]
