My most recent Tutt ancestor is Ruth Tutt (c1813-1860s) who married John Stewart ca 1831 in Buncombe Co., NC where she was born. She is a child of Benjamin Tutt (c1784/94-1820s) and Elizabeth Moore who married ca 1810 in Buncombe Co., NC.
Benjamin's parents are unknown, but he is almost certainly part of the large Tutt family that lived in Virginia and South Carolina.
