Laura Sawyer Cook, 45, passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2017 at 5:33 AM.

She was born April 10, 1972 in Marion to the late Zack Stanley Sawyer and Joyce Hardy Sawyer. Laura was a long time resident of Mullins where she graduated high school at Mullins High School. She attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College. She worked as a server at Marion Chinese Restaurant, Shoney's Restaurant in Conway, and Bravos Restaurant in Mullins for many years. Laura was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She took care of her father during his last weeks. She loved her grandson very much and babysat him prior to her father's illness. She loved her family and enjoyed reading and baking.

Along with her mother, survivors include her husband Timmy Cook of Mullins; one daughter, Haley Quinn Caulder of Mullins; one grandson, Zayden Zackary Miles Caulder of Mullins; one brother, Marty Sawyer (Kathy) of Mullins; one sister, Debbie Causey of Surfside Beach; three nieces, Heather Small (Alex) of Marion, Shelly Congdon (Bobby) of Seneca and Anna Marie Sawyer of Mullins; a nephew, Stan Sawyer (Lauren) of Charlotte, NC; 4 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 4310 Three Bridge Road, Mullins, SC 29574 with Rev. Jeff Dunn and Rev. David Inman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, PO Box 965, Mullins, SC 29574.
