Welcome to my Barnes web pages. I have two Barnes lines, this one, and another one in Western North Carolina. (Click for more on that one.)
My most recent Barnes ancestor is Mary "Molsey" Barnes, born ca 1792 in South Carolina. She married James Campbell (1780-1842) ca 1815. Mary died in 1872 in Marion Co., SC.
I have not been able to identify Mary's parents. The closest thing to a relative I could find is a David W. Barnes (1780/90) whom Mary's husband James sold land to in 1822. He is a little older than her and could easily be her brother, but I have no proof of their relationship.
